3Cr Corrosion Resistant Tubing and Casing

In general, 3Cr series corrosion resistant tubing and casing employs special sealing screwed connector. It is applicable in oil and gas wells containing acid medium (like CO2 and Cl).

Chemical Composition of 3Cr Anti-Corrosion Tubing and Casing

CO2 corrosion is closely related with material Cr content and CO2 partial pressure and temperature in oil and gas wells. Cr is the most effective element to prevent CO2 corrosion because it can rapidly form a dense and thin Cr203 passivation film on the metal surface. As the Cr content increases, the CO2 corrosion resistance effect of this anti-corrosion steel pipe is enhanced. CO2 partial pressure is the main factor to affect the corrosion rate. CO2 corrosion rate accelerates with the increase of CO2 partial pressure. In general, as the temperature rises, the corrosion rate of materials also increases. Package 1. 3Cr corrosion resistant tubing and casing should be packaged into bundles for transportation.
2. Tubing is packaged by plastic steel packaging frame or packaging frame with similar materials.
3. Transportation container is specially designed so that 3Cr anti-corrosion tubing and casing have no direct contact with transportation container.
4. The tube bundles are fastened tightly in the container to prevent the collision between tube bundle and container or bundle.
5. The metal binding tapes will be separated from 3Cr corrosion resistant tubing and casing by rubber cushion or something similar.
